The World on a Table
An 8-Week Still Life Workshop for Photographers Who Want to Master Light, Design, and Impact
Starts September 3, 2025 · $165 · Limited to 14 Students
You can learn a lot from shooting on a table.
Most photographers chase subjects that move; people, places, moments.
Still life strips all that away.
It’s just you, the light, and the choices you make.
This is where real control happens.
Where your eye sharpens.
Where your lighting gets precise.
Where you stop guessing and start designing your photographs.
This is The World on a Table, a hands-on, guided still life workshop for beginner to intermediate photographers who want to master the art of tabletop photography.
If you’ve ever looked at a great still life and thought, how the hell did they do that?—you’re in the right place.
What You’ll Learn to Do
-
Design images that hold attention with color, shape, and dimension
-
Control light like a sculptor: soft, crisp, reflective, and inviing
-
Shoot a wide range of still life styles: classic, food, product, fine art
-
Build a professional portfolio of original tabletop images
-
Refine your post-processing and develop a stronger eye for detail
(We will focus on LR/Photoshop techniques in each class as well as the production)

Why This Class Is Different
Most online photo workshops are pre-recorded.
You watch, nod, forget.
With my courses, I’m in the room with you.
I’ve taught photographers for 20+ years, and worked in commercial and fine art for over 50 years.
I don’t phone it in, I never have.
I’m present every step:answering questions, helping you adjust, calling you out (kindly), and showing you how to see what others miss.
By the end, you’ll have a strong body of tabletop work—and the confidence to repeat the results, no matter the subject.
