This will become an ongoing feature on Lighting Essentials. In an effort to let photographers learn about photography, especially professional, commercial photography, I will be looking at and critiquing work that should be seen.

This assignment was to include hands, and handmade objects into the image to illustrate a story on the resurgence of handmade things. From art to clothes to musical instruments, the handmade movement is revitalizing many small towns and areas in the US and worldwide.

This assignment came with a twist. Since it was the opening spread (2 pages) of a magazine, I included a header that could be moved, but had to be used. This helps a photographer understand the use of leading lines, and providing contrast for the type. On other assignments, the typography cannot move.
