Shoot Video to Storyboard
Let’s recap:
We have learned so far:
- Shooting video (ongoing)
- Using the “interview” technique to get main footage
- Blending clips
- Using ambient audio
- Storytelling with B-roll
- Constructing a small storyboard / shot list
- Adding Text to video overlays.
- Attaching slow motion and time-lapse into story
Now we are going to put all of these together for a small video story.
A couple of creative caveats:
- Must be shot in at least two distinctly different locations.
- Music sections or background for duration
- This video can be from 1.5 minutes to 2.5 minutes long.
Thinking through your video, notate what is going to be time-lapse, slow motion, stills, or B-roll.
You will be cutting back and forth between the two locations in the video and those transitions must flow smoothly.
Tell a story of some place or event near you.
Use slow motion, time-lapse, B-roll, ambient audio, and text to tell your story.
