As I've been doing better as a photographer and starting to make a name for myself, I have friends calling asking for portraits of their children/weddings/etc. I say, "yes! I'd love to! THIS is what it costs." And then I never hear back from them. And I don't feel bad because they aren't worthwhile projects. These aren't things I want to base my business around.
