Wonderful synopsis of where we are and the options for the future, a sonly you can do DON!
I would add my mantra ....its all about the MIX.Photographers need a defined vision in every area of the industy and then have 4-6 different sales trails (ways to reach audience) in order to be profitable.
the sales trails may vary year to year in regards to the amount of effort and finances each receives,
but they need to be developed and utilized for 3-5 years and sent to the same audience before photographers will see real traction. Many shooters stop their marketing 1-2 or 3 years into the process as they don't see the return they expected. This is a huge but oh so common error as they are mistakenly
"cutting their losses " but in reality their efforts were not given enough time to mature.
Be smart beloved photographers, define your vision, find your markets, determine 4-6 different
sales trails watch them. Take a 6 month and then a yearly review. Shift as needed but stay the course for 3-5 years.
