What was the tissue paper flash setup made from… a 100 CD spindle? Was there another light on her face or wouldn’t the spindle bottom leave a dark shadow?

I use cybersyncs, Elinchrome triggers, cheap cactus and some Calumet. I believe these were shot with the Elinchromes and the cactus.

How are you firing the flash with your meter for the test. I don’t see any receivers hanging on the lights.

Don, you are fabulous! I cannot believe the things I just learned watching your video. (I just stumbled upon this site last night.) I have two large softboxes that I\’ve used maybe 5 or 6 (gasp!) times in a year because studio lighting terrifies me (I shoot natural light portraits.) Anyway, I will not be afraid anymore and am going out today to get \"fill cards\", which I never thought to use. I hope to be able to create that beauty dish, too. Your images are gorgeous, the lighting is so full of life and muti-dimensional. I\’m sure it doesn\’t hurt to have a beautiful and talented model like Briana as well!) I can\’t wait to take some pictures. I can only say WOW!!! Thank you so much!
